Kurious was working as a foot messenger for Def Jam when the discovery of this Puerto Rican's freestyle skills led to a deal with Pete Nice and Bobbito Garcia's short-lived Hoppoh records, a subdivision of Columbia. He released the LP A Constipated Monkey in 1994. In addition to production by the Beatnuts and cuts by Lord Sear, the LP features a collaboration with Kurious' west coast counterpart Casual, while the non-album b-side "Mansion and a Yacht" features the Jungle Brothers Mike G and Brand Nubian's Sadat X.

Kurious has guested on "Stop smokin that shit" off of KMD's Black Bastards (available now, pick it up!) and MF Doom's "?" He is planning a second album for 2000 on Eastern Conference. Production on the new record will probably feature the Beatnuts, the Groove Merchants (Vic from the Beatnuts and Godfather Don), MF Doom, and Lord Sear.
